In addition to Literacy Focus Ltd I am privileged to be commissioned by Pie Corbett as a Talk for Writing (TfW) and Talk for Reading consultant. I am currently working with around 20 schools on implementing and embedding TfW.
Years of experience
As ‘Literacy Focus’ I bring years of experience as a teacher, a trainer/coach and a senior leader. In addition to consultancy I am an experienced KS1 Moderator, a ‘Talk for Writing’ consultant, and author of ‘Planning to Teach Writing – A Practical Guide for Primary School Teachers’ and ‘More Planning to Teach Writing’. Also, I am commissioned by Manchester Trust & Schools Alliance to facilitate their English Subject Leader Network and proud of my track record as a Primary and Secondary school governor. I can successfully work alongside Headteachers, Senior Leaders, middle managers, teaching assistants, trainees, early career teachers, and experienced teachers.
